A lot of people who are interested in learning how to astral project come to me with this question. They want to know what “button” they have to push to eject themselves from their bodies at will.
Unfortunately, I don’t know of any sure shot way to astral project. There is no switch you flip and suddenly you are out of your body.
However, there are many methods you can use to greatly increase your chances of achieving separation from your body, and I detail those ways in my book, The Astral Projection Guidebook: Mastering the Art of Astral Travel which you can purchase on Amazon.com.
Let me give you a quick review on some of the astral projection techniques I recommend:
You need to set up your environment for success, so that means making sure your body won’t be disturbed by a sleep partner, an animal companion, a loud grandfather clock, or an alarm clock going off at an inopportune time.
Learning how to lucid dream can help you learn how to awaken your conscious mind while your body sleeps.
Taking a nap midday, or waking in the middle of the night and then going back to sleep can also help.
Overcoming your fear of being away from your body is also important.
I’ve also personally noticed that if I’m sleeping in a hot temperature it can assist in achieving separation. For me that’s 76 to 85 degrees Fahrenheit. It may be different for you.

It takes time, education, and practice, but I’ve heard from hundreds of people who have successfully achieved astral projection by stacking the deck in their favor and using the techniques from my book and other resources.
If you are struggling, don’t give up! It’s a wonderful experience to separate the soul from the body even if just for a few seconds or a few minutes. It will remind you that your body is just your vessel and it is animated by your soul.
