The Truth About the Fight Between Good and Evil

Periodically people ask me if I can comment on the fight between good and evil, light and dark. Many feel we are “losing” the battle.

What if I told you there was no battle?

Good and evil, light and dark are concepts you’ve been led to believe are real, but they are not.

“But, Erin, what about demons? Surely they are evil?”

No. Demonic, low vibrational energies are scary, but not evil. Are bees evil when they swarm and sting you? Is a cougar evil when it takes down its prey? No. Scary yes, but evil, no.

Every being in the universe has a certain nature to it. Every being has a frequency as well. We co-exist. That’s the natural order.

A rabbit is afraid of the owl, but the owl is not evil or good. It hunts to survive and rabbits are some of its prey.

You might be afraid of something demonic, but demons are afraid of angels. Everything is just trying to survive.

Let’s talk about humans. A lot of people write to me asking about the evil people in our world. The terrorists, the dictators, the gang members, the rapists, murderers, and thieves. Humans are not evil, though they sometimes commit acts we wish they wouldn’t.

Just as the rabbit wishes the owl would stop hunting, so too do many people wish the terrorists would disband, that the thieves would go away, that murderers would find some other way to live.

It’s okay to be upset about the actions of others, just as the rabbit is probably upset when he sees an owl flying towards him. But here on Earth, in these incarnations we are all experiencing, we have free will. That means people can do anything they want. It doesn’t mean you have to stand for it. It doesn’t mean you can’t defend or protect yourself. After all, the rabbit runs into a hole when he sees the owl coming.

But we have to stop defining beings as good or evil. In reality, there are people whose actions you approve of and people whose actions you don’t approve of. That’s the natural order. The alternative is to live on a planet all by yourself so you’re not bothered by the actions of others.

There is no battle going on in the cosmos. There is just the natural order. Sometimes it favors you, and sometimes it doesn’t.

The best thing you can do is decide what you will tolerate and how you will live amongst all the various beings (seen and unseen) that surround you. You can get involved in trying to make the world more like you want it to be, or you can live in a cabin in the woods and unplug from humanity, or anywhere in between.

If you can stop seeing the world as good and evil, light and dark, you will probably see that the entire universe runs by the law of cause and effect, choices and consequences. If you want different outcomes, make difference choices.

But stop defining people as good and evil. They can scare you, they can please you, they can hurt you, they can help you, but you’re seeing all of it through your own lens. What scares you may attract someone else.

When you see the owl coming, by all means dive into your den, but remember that the owl is not evil. And neither is anything else.
