I get a lot of emails from people asking me how to remove curses or get rid of their bad luck.
I’m here to tell you that you are not cursed, you were not born under an unlucky star, your neighbor didn’t give you the stink eye, and you’re not under a spell.
Sometimes things just don’t go your way.
“But, Erin, I really do have bad luck. I lost my job, my husband cheated on me, I got sick and couldn’t work, if that’s not bad luck I don’t know what is!”
Not bad luck. Not a curse. You are not being punished and you are not doomed. You didn’t piss off God, and there isn’t a demon following you around.
You’re experiencing things you wish you weren’t. Here’s what the other side has to say about “bad luck.”
You are experiencing a correction.
What do you think your spirit guides do when they see you involved in a situation you don’t really want to be in? They move things, guide things, nudge things, and try to get you going down a better corridor in the maze of life.
Husband cheated on you? Now you know you can’t trust him and can move on. Good thing you found out now!
Lost your job? Oh, you mean the job you hated? Now you have a chance to have a career you love.
Got sick and couldn’t work? Maybe getting sick was the only way to get you away from the job that wasn’t serving you. Maybe getting sick was the only way to get you to a doctor so they could find the cancer early enough to treat it.
Got arrested for drug possession? Maybe this is your chance to get clean and have a better life.
Sometimes the only way your guides can get your attention is to knock you over the head with something because you’re not listening to them when they are subtle.
Don’t think of bad events as bad luck. See them as signs to make a change.
The guides have also told me that sometimes this “bad luck” you think you’re having is really just you attracting distractions.
“I can’t start a business now because I got into a car accident and my back hurts too much to even sit at a computer.”
“I can’t write that book because my daughter really needs me right now and I just don’t have the energy to take care of her AND write a book. I’ll have to do it later.”
“I can’t transition to a new career, Jimmy needs braces and I better keep my stable job.”
Sometimes we attract urgent or emergent situations into our lives because we’re not yet a vibrational match for major success, joy, and happiness.
My paranormal team and I were interviewing a potential client who told us she was having bad luck and that it must be paranormal. “I can’t get out of bed, I’m just too tired. Every time I try to make my life better something bad happens. I feel attacked, like the world is out to get me, and no matter what I do I can’t succeed.”
She was not having a paranormal problem. She was afraid of her own power, her power to make her life what she desired it to be. She used this “crisis” to prevent herself from moving forward because she wasn’t ready to succeed.
Ask yourself right now what is keeping you from joy, happiness, success, and feeling good. What’s on your plate that you simply have to deal with before you can get happy? You’re going to have to be brutally honest with yourself.
If you want to know how to get of the “bad luck blues” then listen up.
Start doing what makes you happy. Start doing right by yourself.
Dump the cheating partner, lose the job you hate, clean up your drug habit.
Set aside time to do what you want, what will make you happier in the long run. Take the class you always wanted to take. Start playing the instrument you always wanted to play. Save money and travel to that place you’ve always wanted to see.
You’ll start to see a lot of your bad luck turn good.
