Do you ever read for strangers when you’re out and about?

Question:  Have you ever been out like shopping or out to dinner and gotten a psychic message for someone?  If so, do you go up and tell them?

Answer: When I begin doing psychic work for the day, I go through a meditation to open myself to the higher realms and allow the energy of Source to infuse me.  This takes me to a vibrational level where I’m able to read for people.  In between readings, I keep my energy high but I release my connection to the guides, higher self, and angels of the person I just read for.  But I’m still open to my own guides, higher self, and angels.  While in this state, I am able to receive impressions and information about other people, for example someone in the grocery store.

It has happened that I will pass by someone and get some information that seems pretty important.  It’s almost always information of an urgent nature.  On rare occasions, if I feel the person might be open to receiving intuitive information from me, I will find a way to strike up a conversation.  Let’s say for example I pass by a pregnant woman and I get information from her guides that she is very scared of the upcoming birth.  They might tell me she had a hard time during her first labor and is worried that the second one might even kill her.  Armed with this information I will position myself in line so that I’m near her and I’ll strike up a conversation about pregnancy.  For example:

Me:  Oh, I see that you’re pregnant.  Is this your first child? (knowing it’s not)

Her:  No, my second.  I have a 3 year old little boy.

Me:  I have two children myself.  On the one hand it was easier going through labor a second time because I knew what to expect, but on the other hand, I knew what to expect and I knew exactly how unpleasant it could be. 🙂

Her:  Exactly!  Yes!  I have to admit that I am feeling a little fear about the second birth since my first didn’t go exactly as planned.

Me:  Yes, I can understand that.  But you know, I just have a feeling that everything is going to work out for the best.  I think you’re going to receive excellent care and probably realize the second birth was in fact easier than your first.  It’s certain to be faster anyway.

Her:  Yeah, you’re probably right.   I guess I really shouldn’t worry.

Me:  Exactly.  You’re taking good care of yourself right?  (she nods) And you are planning to get to the hospital at the first sign of labor right? (she nods again).  And your doctor this time around is very on top of things right?

Her:  Wow, it’s like you know me.  (she laughs)

Me:  I just know what it’s like to be nervous about labor.  I think your birth is going to be wonderful.  Is it a girl this time?

Her:  Why yes!  How did you know?

Me:  Maybe I’m a little psychic. 😉

Her:  Well thanks for the reassurance.  It’s been weighing heavily on my mind for a while but I’m feeling better about it.

Me:  No problem.  Good luck!

I don’t feel like I can go up to someone and say, “Hi there, I’m a psychic medium, and your guides are telling me that you’re worried about the birth of your second child because the first labor didn’t go too well.  But they want me to tell you that everything is going to be just fine.”  I also don’t feel like it’s my place to give “drive by readings” as I call them.  I feel it’s important for people to want to receive my guidance; I don’t want to force it on someone.  But if I feel it’s very urgent and I can do something to relieve suffering then I will go about it in a surreptitious manner.

Do mechanics stop when they see someone’s car broken down on the side of the road?  Do cardiologists dining at steakhouses go up to everyone eating cheese potatoes and filet mignon and tell them they’re clogging their arteries?  Do body builders stand outside furniture stores and offer to help people put armchairs into their cars?  Probably not.

But will a doctor jump into action when someone is choking on their steak?  Probably.  Will a mechanic stuck in traffic behind a broken down vehicle get out of his car and offer his assistance?  Sometimes.  Do bodybuilders help their friends move heavy furniture?  Probably more often than they like. 😉

So too do I help where I can, when I can, in the best way that I can.  And I’m blessed to be able to do so.
